DSH - Patton: Facilities

The Department of State Hospitals - Patton has three security compounds where the patients served are assigned to units within five buildings. The hospital has off unit community grounds areas, a multipurpose field, chapels, and a softball diamond inside the security compounds.

Within the units, patients are assigned a room similar to a college dorm. Most dorm rooms accommodate between 3-5 patients per room. All units have a day room, with chairs, tables, and a television. Connected to each unit is also a courtyard for outdoor access.

There are additional areas and meeting rooms throughout the unit buildings utilized for treatment and other recreational activities. The hospital also has modular buildings used for groups and office space.
